What do the filament types mean?
- Standard
- Strong, with a soft sheen, and the widest range of colours.
- Matte
- My everyday filament. No shine at all, with a smooth, chalky finish that hides the print lines well.
- Silk
- Glossy, with a metallic shine that catches the light. Great for display pieces.
- Sparkle
- Fine metallic flakes that twinkle as the light moves over it.
- Marble
- A stone look, with small dark specks through it like granite.
- Glow
- Milky off-white in daylight. Leave it under a light for a while and it glows in the dark.
- Coextrusion (colour-shift)
- Two or three colours run side by side in the same strand, so each side of the print comes out a different colour. Turn it round and the colour changes.
- Gradient
- The colour slowly changes along the spool, so the print changes colour from bottom to top. How many colours you see depends on the size of the print: a small print might only show one or two of them, a big one will run through them all (sometimes more than once). Every print comes out a little different.
- Limited edition
- Limited edition colours are one-off spools. Once they are gone, they are gone.
No colours match that. Try another name, or a code like SILK-14.
